Why you will love our centre

Centre Manager

Hi, I'm Cassandra, Centre Director at Busy Bees at Blakeview. One of the things you'll love most about our centre is the balance we've created between experience and fresh ideas. Our long-standing educators, including several who have been with us since the centre opened, work alongside newer team members who bring fresh perspectives, creating a welcoming environment where children and families feel at home.

Children enjoy calm learning environments that give them meaningful choice, with the freedom to move between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout much of the day. We also celebrate the many cultures within our community through shared food experiences, helping children learn about different traditions.

Our community pantry reflects the kind of centre we strive to be, where families support one another and everyone feels connected. Conveniently located within the local Westfield shopping precinct, Blakeview is a place where children feel safe, valued and inspired to grow.

Centre Director

Growing up in a big, close family and spending afternoons helping in my mum’s preschool first sparked my interest in early learning. After exploring other careers, I found where I belonged and began working in the sector in 2020. Since then, I’ve progressed from educator to Assistant Director and into my first Centre Director role. I’m passionate about helping educators flourish, think creatively and design experiences shaped by children’s voices. At Busy Bees at Blakeview, I love the genuine relationships shared across our team and with every child. These connections create a welcoming home away from home where children come first. Outside work, I’ve enjoyed adventures including canyoning, snorkelling and abseiling down waterfalls, before my own children came along.

Educational Leader

Helping care for my younger cousins first inspired me to begin my early learning career in 1994. I believe every child and family deserves an amazing start to their learning journey, and I’m passionate about creating experiences that support children’s development, confidence and wellbeing. As Educational Leader, I value environments that respond to what children need. One of my favourite spaces at Busy Bees at Blakeview is our sensory room, where children can step away from a busy environment, spend time in a smaller group and experience co-regulation with their educators. Outside of work, I love live music, and going to concerts is my favourite way to spend my time.

Family Advocate

After working in medical roles, I followed my passion for supporting children and families into early learning in 2026. As a mum and aunt to 12 nieces and nephews, I’ve always been surrounded by children and understand how important it is for families to feel supported. As Family Advocate, I enjoy helping families navigate our systems and the Child Care Subsidy, while making sure the centre feels welcoming from the moment they arrive. I love the positive atmosphere our team has created at Busy Bees at Blakeview and the different ways I can make life a little easier for families. Outside work, I enjoy visiting the zoo every other week simply to walk around and explore.
