Our Curriculum – Bee Curious

Our Curriculum: Bee Curious

Helping your child grow into a confident, capable learner – at their own pace

From their very first day to their first day at school, your child is on a big journey — full of new experiences, growing independence and exciting discoveries.

At Busy Bees, our Bee Curious learning approach supports them every step of the way through individual learning plans, thoughtful teaching and clear developmental progressions — helping them build confidence, communication skills and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

Because when children feel safe, supported and understood, they truly thrive.

Every child is unique, and their learning journey should be too.

What this means for your child

Through Bee Curious, your child is supported through an individual learning pathway, where educators:

  • Get to know your child’s strengths, interests and developmental stage
  • Set personalised goals to support their growth
  • Use clear progressions to build skills step-by-step over time
  • Provide intentional teaching to extend learning at the right moment
  • Create opportunities to practise, revisit and build confidence

This means your child is not rushed or held back — they are supported to grow at the right pace for them, building the skills they need for school and beyond.

What this means for your family

We know choosing early learning is a big decision — and you want to feel confident your child is in the very best hands.

Teaching Principles

How children learn at Busy Bees

Children learn best when they feel happy, secure and engaged.

That’s why learning at Busy Bees Early Learning is play-based, intentional and tailored to each child, giving you child the opportunity to:

Whether it’s called Kindergarten or Preschool, this stage focuses on building school readiness through individual learning pathways.
Children develop confidence, independence and key skills through structured progressions, intentional teaching and play-based learning — preparing them to transition to school feeling capable, confident and ready to thrive.

Transition to School Program

We follow the philosophy that being set for school begins from day one, even for our nursery children. Our learning programs are designed to build resilience, vital social skills and independence, while preparing children with all the essentials they need to take their next big steps in school and life.

At Busy Bees, our tailored Transition to School program follows a Government-approved Kindergarten framework focused on exploration and discovery.

Working with you...

Our families and communities are the foundation for our work with children. We know that choosing care for your child is one of the most important things you will do and we want to support you to make the best choice for your family. Our Centre Director, Teaching Practitioners and Educators build positive relationships, getting to know you and your child to deliver tailored learning experiences based on their needs and interests.

We understand how important it is that you are a part of your child’s learning journey. We use Storypark to record your child’s day and support their development to keep you fully up to date at every stage.

Need to pick up a casual day of care? We also offer the Kindynow app, which allows families to easily pick up additional days, as well as notify your child’s absences, straight from your smartphone.
