Hi, I'm Candice, Centre Director at Busy Bees at Byford The Glades. One of the things you'll love most about our centre is the genuine connection we share with one another. We often say we're connected on a different level, and we believe families feel that too. Many of our educators have been here for five to seven years, caring for siblings across the same family and building trusted relationships that last for years.
Children enjoy the freedom to move between our dedicated learning spaces, including the Art Room, Reading Room and large undercover outdoor environments where open-ended play and curiosity flourish in every season.
Children's interests shape the experiences we offer every day. Whether they're fascinated by reptiles, butterflies, stick insects or caring for their health, our incursions are chosen in response to their curiosity, creating meaningful learning that grows from the questions they ask every day.

Centre Director
I began my early learning career as a trainee in 2006, and over the years I’ve grown from an educator into leadership roles supporting children, families and educators. While I still love watching children learn, grow and thrive, I’m equally passionate about mentoring educators, helping them build confidence, develop their skills and discover their own passion for early learning. What drew me to Busy Bees at Byford The Glades was its strong connection to the local community and the genuine relationships already built with families. I’m excited to build on that sense of belonging and work alongside our team to create a positive, welcoming environment where every child can thrive. Outside of work, I love exploring Western Australia, reading, road trips and anything Harry Potter.

Educational Leader
I left school at 16 to begin a traineeship in early learning, and I’ve never looked back. Since stating my career in 2003, I’ve loved inspiring children’s learning and discovering there really is a job where you can play, teach and make a difference every day. As Educational Leader, I’m passionate about inspiring educators through the curriculum and helping them create meaningful learning experiences for every child. I love that our team feels like one big family, working together to provide the very best care for the children in our centre. Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to four boys, enjoy growing Australian native plants and love baking homemade bread.

Family Advocate
Wanting to become a teacher first sparked my interest in working with children, and I began my early learning career as an educator in 2020 before moving into my Family Advocate role. I love being a source of support for both our team and our families, building meaningful relationships and helping every family feel welcomed and connected from the moment they join our centre. One of my favourite things about Busy Bees at Byford The Glades is our supportive team, who genuinely care for one another and the families we welcome each day. Outside of work, I'm a proud dog mum to a golden retriever and love travelling, concerts, interior design and exploring the outdoors.

When you visit, you will be able to meet our educators, check out our learning spaces and gain more information about our program.
