Why You’ll Love Our Centre

Centre Manager

Hi, I'm Katie, Centre Director at Busy Bees, providing quality childcare in Montrose. One of the things you'll love most about our centre is watching children connect with the world beyond our front gate. From nursery wellness walks and Bush Kinder to sharing hot chocolates with residents at our local aged care home, children of every age enjoy meaningful experiences that build confidence, curiosity and a genuine sense of community.

Back at the centre, children's ideas continue to shape their learning. Their voices can be seen throughout our environments in projects, displays, risk assessments and community initiatives, including raising enough money to adopt seven penguins through the Penguin Foundation.

Our long-standing educator team has built trusted relationships with generations of local families, creating the genuine home-away-from-home feeling we're known for. It's a place where children feel valued, families feel connected and every day brings new opportunities to learn, explore and belong.

We’d love to welcome you and your child to visit our Montrose kindergarten and early learning centre.

Our Early Learning Programs.

Every age brings something new, which is why our early learning programs within our Montrose daycare and childcare are designed around your child’s stage of development, interests and growing abilities.

From the close, responsive relationships children need in the nursery to the confidence and independence they develop as they approach school, our educators create play-based experiences that encourage curiosity, communication and a love of learning.

Supporting Families Every Step of the Way.

You know your child better than anybody else. That’s why strong family-educator relationships play such an important part in daycare at Montrose.

Sharing information, celebrating progress and talking openly about your child’s needs enables us to provide a more consistent experience between home and the centre.

Stay Connected

Stay Connected

You don’t need to wonder what your child has been up to all day. With the Storypark app, families are kept up-to-date with learning, routines and special moments, keeping you in touch with your child’s experiences even when you are apart. You can also speak with educators directly about your child’s day, development or anything you’d like us to know.

Be Part of the Journey

Be Part of the Journey

Meet Your Montrose Team.

The relationships your child builds with their educators can shape how secure and confident they feel each day.

Our Montrose kinder and childcare team focuses on getting to know children as individuals, including what interests them, how they like to communicate, when they need encouragement and what helps them feel at home.

That familiarity creates a stronger foundation for learning, because children are more likely to explore, participate and try something new when they feel safe and understood.

Dedicated educators who support your child's learning and wellbeing every day.

Our experienced team creates a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to explore, learn and grow with confidence.

If you have questions or would like to learn more about our centre, our team would love to help.

Centre Director

Supporting children during their most important developmental years inspired me to begin my early learning career in 2009. Since then, I’ve worked across every age group, as a Kindergarten Teacher, Educational Leader, Primary School Teacher and now Centre Director. I’m passionate about creating environments where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn, while supporting educators to provide those same meaningful experiences every day. At Busy Bees at Montrose, I love the home-away-from-home feeling we’ve created for children and families. Seeing children reach milestones, building strong relationships with our families and knowing our work has a lasting impact is what keeps me passionate. Outside of work, I enjoy baking and run a small business creating cakes, cupcakes and cookies.

Family Advocate

I began my early learning career in 2012 while studying my Diploma and have always been passionate about supporting children during their most important years of development. Moving into a Family Advocate role has allowed me to broaden my understanding of how every part of our centre works together to support children, families and educators. I love continuing to learn, building relationships with families and helping create a welcoming environment where everyone feels connected and supported. One of the things I love most about Busy Bees at Montrose is our strong sense of community, where children, families and educators share a true sense of belonging.
