Hi, I'm Devina, Centre Director at Busy Bees. One of the things you'll love most about our childcare in Prahran is that every educator brings their own passions into children's learning. Rather than relying on external providers, our team leads inspiring experiences in sport, art, science, gardening and First Nations perspectives, creating rich opportunities that are guided by trusted educators children know and love.
Those experiences take place in our beautiful heritage building, which has always been a place of learning. Families often tell us it feels more like a home than a childcare centre, creating a warm, family-orientated environment where children feel safe, known and valued.
Strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do. From caring for Woody 3.0, our much-loved stick insect, to sharing our Child Safety Book with families each week, we create meaningful connections that extend well beyond the centre.

My passion for early learning comes from the joy of supporting children as they grow, build confidence and reach important milestones. I began my early learning journey in 2022 and have loved working alongside children, families and educators ever since. What keeps me passionate is seeing children learn and thrive while being part of a supportive community that works together to make a positive difference every day. At Busy Bees in Prahran, I’m proud to lead a team of passionate, qualified educators who are committed to creating the very best experiences for every child. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at yoga or Pilates, trying a new cafe or baking something sweet. I love being creative wherever I am, whether that’s planning fun experiences for children or in my own time.

I began my early learning journey in 2021 as a placement student and soon discovered a true journey of belonging, becoming and being. As I grew into a Room Leader and now Educational Leader, I found even more passion in supporting children, educators and families. What keeps me passionate is the love for children, seeing them achieve and grow before my eyes, and the joy of building relationships with families. I love that Busy Bees at Prahran has its own unique character. From the moment you walk through the door you can feel the warmth and the beautiful community we’ve built over the years, with children’s learning reflected throughout every room. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, trying new cuisines and sharing my own.

I began my early learning journey in 2017, inspired by the compassion and care my own family experienced at this centre. Seeing the lasting relationship my son still has with his educator reminds me of the difference early learning can make. The families we meet every day, and the children's smiles and greetings as I walk around the centre, are what keep me passionate about my role. What I love most about Busy Bees at Prahran is our people and the wonderful sense of community we've built together. I truly go home with my cup filled every day. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering with Little Athletics and cheering on my son's sporting achievements.
