Busy Bees at Carrum Downs welcomes you with thoughtfully-designed learning spaces, a dedicated sensory/yoga room, and an engaging outdoor playground — with sandpits, swings, climbing frame, mud kitchens, a slide, a cubby house and a vegetable and herb garden — where children are encouraged to ignite their sense of curiosity and discovery.
At Busy Bees at Carrum Downs, your child will benefit from:
Our Carrum Downs childcare follow a play-based learning approach where children are given uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention. Our environments reflect our belief that children are curious, confident and capable learners, by providing enquiry-rich spaces with opportunities for risky and challenging play supported by Educators. We aim to inspire and nurture children’s natural love of learning and to support their needs, interests and learning capabilities.
Our Carrum Downs childcare is a welcoming community with a family-oriented approach. We are an inclusive day care that values diversity of cultures, values, beliefs, abilities, interests and learning styles. We love to celebrate the special cultural events of our children to create a strong sense of belonging and identity. Our team of multicultural and bilingual Educators — Dari, Sinhala, Telugu, Bosnian, Croatian, German, Hindi, Gujarat, Punjabi, Tamil and Kanada — love to share their languages and cultures with the children.
Our Carrum Downs Kindergarten program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child set for their next big steps in school. We work in partnership with you to make their transition to school successful. Our quality learning programs are designed to build resilience, vital social skills and independence, while preparing children with all the essentials they need to take their next big steps in school and life.

Service Manager
Hello, my name is Kelly and I am the Service Manager of Busy Bees at Carrum Downs.
I have a passion for Early Years Education and Care with over 15 years of experience in the sector. I have worked in many areas within this field and have spent many years in leadership, gaining the skills and attributes that I believe are important in striving to be the best leader I can be. I work hard to achieve this goal by having a caring and positive attitude in everything I do.
I believe one of the most important aspects of my role is building meaningful, respectful, and trusting relationships with the children, families, and my fellow team members/colleagues. I am extremely passionate about providing a welcoming and supportive environment, which is crucial to a happy and healthy workplace.
Providing an environment that is nurturing, inclusive and educational is a strong focus for me and something I feel very passionate about. The early years of a child’s life are integral and help build the foundations for their future development and learning. I believe that all children have the right to feel safe and secure, and by providing quality care and experiences we are engaging them to be confident and involved learners.
Overall, I am a loving, fun, and caring person who is always up for a challenge and loves the work I do!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and our pet dog Zoe, watching my son play soccer, and shopping from time to time. I also love a good movie and socialising with loved ones.
I look forward to welcoming your family into our beautiful Centre.
Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Barbara and I am the Assistant Service Manager of Busy Bees at Carrum Downs.

As an educator, I believe that children learn through play and should be given every opportunity to learn in a loving and caring environment.
As an Assistant Service Manager, I am committed to helping families and educators to bring out the best in their children and to support them in their daily needs.
In my spare time, I like to make craft items and spend time with my husband and two dogs.
