Busy Bees at Mirrabooka welcomes you with bright and spacious learning areas, as well as large and natural outdoor play areas where children can play, explore, discover and have fun. The Service provides specialised care for children 8 weeks to 5 years of age, with 114 licensed places.

Busy Bees at Mirrabooka encompasses an innovative approach which is based on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We follow this philosophy and offer children uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention.
Our learning program incorporates Montessori teachings and practices, such as a flowing open-door program, child led learning, yoga, Italian lessons and a wellbeing program designed for children. Our team of nurturing Educators build relationships with each of the children, taking the time to get to know them and their Families. The Service runs an inspiring child-focused learning program, in collaboration with the children and their Families.
Quality Early Learning does more than just prepare children to become eager school students – it builds resilience, vital social skills and independence.

Hi, my name is Trina and I’m the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Mirrabooka. I have worked in the Early Childhood sector for 30 years. I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services, a Certificate III and Certificate 4 in Early Childhood Education, and have completed multiple trainings on behaviour guidance. I feel strongly about child protection and the right of every child to feel safe, secure and loved.
I have a passion for teaching and watching children learn and grow in our care. I feel privileged to be part of each child’s learning journey, and it puts a smile on my face every day. Recently, my passion has extended into mentoring and working with the Educators at our Service to help them grow to their full potential and progress in their professional journeys.
As a Service Manager, building trusting and reciprocal relationships with Families is very important to me. I like to know that all children and Families at Mirrabooka feel safe and welcome, and believe that through respectful relationships we can provide the highest quality care for our children.
Albert Einstein said “play is the highest form of research” and I’m still researching.
Nurturing responsive relationships are our primary focus for our nursery children.

Teaching Practitioners develop a stimulating approach to learning by supporting the children with an educational program that is challenging, insightful, consultative, giving them a head start as they prepare for school.
