Hi, my name is Emily and I am the acting Service Manager at Busy Bees at Mirrabooka. I moved to Perth from Ireland in 2011. I studied my Diploma in ECEC in 2016 and in 2016 I began working in the childcare industry.
I believe that the early childhood years are crucial to the development of a child and to their understanding, attitudes and concepts about themselves, other people and their environment. Current research has shown that the quality of a young child’s interactions with adults, peers and their environment in the early years is vital to a child’s long term outcomes in all developmental areas. Each child and their Family are unique, with different strengths, interests, needs values and experiences. The roles of the early childhood team is to provide a warm, nurturing and positive environment that is both child and Family centred.
An atmosphere of acceptance and open communication is essential for Families, staff and children. I support the Australian early childhood code of ethics and strive to implement best current practices in pursuit of excellence in the early childhood profession.
Nurturing responsive relationships are our primary focus for our nursery children.
Your toddler will be encouraged to explore to build resilience, vital social skills and independence in our purpose built environments.
Teaching Practitioners develop a stimulating approach to learning by supporting the children with an educational program that is challenging, insightful, consultative, giving them a head start as they prepare for school.
