The program allows for enriched development in the specific areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Language and Literacy.
Mary Shepherd is the appointed Service Manager and brings with her over ten years’ experience in the Early Learning sector. Mary is supported by a team of qualified Educators and Teaching Practitioners, including a Bachelor of Education qualified Early Childhood Teacher.
Princeton Pre School encompasses an innovative approach which is based on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We follow this philosophy and offer children uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention. We establish strong links with all children and Families, and our collaborative partnerships with our Families and the broader community allow us to embrace our cultural differences and diversity.
At Princeton, our children are encouraged to become independent learners. We give them the guidance and tools they need to explore their individual strengths and interests, participate in daily tasks, ignite their curiosities, and become confident citizens of their community.
Our learning program is inspired by Montessori teachings and philosophies, and our curriculum draws upon the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) whilst maintaining an awareness of the Australian Curriculum. We offer unique and specialised programs such as Happy Feet, Little Dragons and Italian lessons, while supporting children to explore their individual strengths and interests. We promise our dedicated learning program is jam-packed with unique and stimulating activities you won’t find anywhere else!
Quality Early Learning does more than just prepare children to become eager school students – it builds resilience, vital social skills and independence.

Hello, my name is Mary Shepherd and I am the Service Manager at Princeton Pre School by Busy Bees. I have over ten years’ experience within the Early Education sector – starting from Assistant and working my way up. I have worked in many organisations large and small both here in Western Australia and in Queensland. It is a privilege to be involved in the foundational learning of young children. Working with children has reminded me of how amazing and exciting the world can be and how learning is different for everyone.
During my career, I have obtained a Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services and I'm currently finishing my Diploma in Business. I also have extensive experience in the commercial and business sector prior to moving into Early Education.
I am a true believer that children learn best through play, exploration and being guided through meaningful learning experiences. There is no greater feeling than assisting a child along with their family to develop their life skills, whether mentally, emotionally, or physically. It is a brilliant sensation watching them develop and grow as individuals, grounded, happy and open to new learning experiences.
On a personal note, I am originally from New Zealand and I have two beautiful grown-up daughters of my own. They are quite independent now, so I have a very quiet household with just one cat!
I am completely honoured to be the Service Manager at Princeton Pre School and look forward to meeting you and your family.
Teaching Practitioners develop a stimulating approach to learning by supporting the children with an educational program that is challenging, insightful, consultative, giving them a head start as they prepare for school.
