Busy Bees at Springfield Lakes welcomes you with warm and inviting learning spaces and fresh and exciting outdoor play areas full of adventure and discovery. Our play areas have been designed with a focus on providing a natural environment where children can explore, be creative, and develop their motor skills.
With a dedicated team of experienced Educators, Busy Bees at Springfield Lakes offers 75 placements for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
Our Springfield Lakes kindergarten encompasses an innovative approach which is based on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We follow this philosophy and offer children uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention.
We’ve developed the Busy Bees learning program with the help of childcare specialists, curriculum experts and Early Years Advisors at our Centre Support Office. It’s filled with unique and stimulating activities you won’t find anywhere else!
Our funded Kindergarten program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child ready for their next big steps in school. We work in partnership with you to make their transition to school successful. Our child-led curriculum is designed to build confident and active learners, using a holistic approach to education that combines school readiness with learning experiences that foster your child’s social and emotional development.
Quality early learning does more than just prepare children to become eager school students – it builds resilience, vital social skills and independence.

Service Manager
Hi, my name is Kerry Mochan and I’m the Service Manager for Busy Bees at Springfield Lakes.
I was born and raised in Scotland and moved to Australia in 2007. I am a mum of two grown up boys and like to keep active playing soccer.
I hold my Diploma in Early Childhood, a Certificate III in Hospitality and I’m a qualified chef. My Early Childhood Education career began in 2008 as an Assistant Educator. In 2015, I started with Busy Bees as the Assistant Service Manager and became Service Manager in December 2021.
I love to try new challenges and will have a go at almost anything to make myself become a better leader. I strive on completing goals that I have set and feel such accomplishment when these are achieved. I love providing support to my team, children and our families.
I am extremely proud to be a part of Busy Bees and I cannot wait for you to join us at Busy Bees at Springfield Lakes.
Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Kirsten Plunkett and I am the 2IC and Educational Leader at Busy Bees at Springfield Lakes.
I have worked in the Early Childhood industry for almost 25 years. Working with children, supporting, encouraging, nurturing them and celebrating their individual growth/achievements has always been my passion.
I have proudly worked at our Service since we opened in 2015, officially turning the key to open on our first day! During this time, I have worked together with an amazing team to create a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing ‘home away from home’ environment.
I believe that building strong, trusting relationships are always at the heart of what we do, and at our Service, we pride ourselves on providing quality care and education for all children.
I am a positive leader and role model, who is always striving to work on being my best self. I am friendly and approachable.
My family is my world. I am married with two teenage children, and a fur baby, our red cattle dog, Scooby. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family, usually watching my kids compete in their favourite sporting events, or relaxing in our pool or at the beach.
I look forward to meeting you soon and having you and your child join our Hive!
