Busy Bees at Wellard welcomes you with bright and spacious learning areas, as well as large and natural outdoor play areas where children can play, explore, discover and have fun. The Service provides specialised care for children 8 weeks to 5 years of age, supported by a team of 26 qualified and passionate Educators, including 2 qualified Early Childhood Teachers.
The Service has pet chickens, crazy crabs and a beautiful fish tank. Nurturing animals provides children with a sense of responsibility, love and empathy. Busy Bees at Wellard is a purpose-built Service with 7 learning environments, and an excellent nature play outdoor space.
Inspired by nature play and nurturing Maria Montessori and Reggio Emilia learning approaches, Busy Bees at Wellard incorporates natural learning environments. This guides our interactions with the children and the vast array of activities that we offer.
Our fortnightly curriculum program is focused around play-based learning and providing opportunities for the children to be inspired to engage in both spontaneous and meaningful planned activities which promote and encourage a love for learning.
Busy Bees at Wellard encompasses an innovative approach which is based on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We follow this philosophy and offer children uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention.
Quality Early Learning does more than just prepare children to become eager school students – it builds resilience, vital social skills and independence.
