Hi, I'm Luke, Centre Director at Busy Bees at Wellard. One of the things I love most about our centre is seeing children grow in confidence as they explore, discover and learn through play.

Every day, our team creates opportunities for children to follow their curiosity, build new skills and develop meaningful relationships in a safe, supportive environment. Whether they're caring for plants in our bush tucker garden, navigating the bike track with friends, exploring sensory experiences outdoors or engaging in imaginative play, there are so many moments that spark learning, confidence and creativity.

We believe strong relationships are the foundation for every child's success. That's why we take the time to build genuine connections with children and families, creating a warm and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected and supported to be themselves.

Understanding childcare fees can sometimes feel confusing. Most families receive support through the Australian Government's Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which helps reduce the daily cost of care.

Centre Director

Hello, my name is Luke, and I’ve been working in early childhood education for 4 years. I am passionate about supporting children’s growth, curiosity and confidence as they learn through play. I focus on building strong, trusting relationships with children and families, and creating a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, respected and secure to explore, learn and thrive. I work in partnership with families to nurture confident learners and set children up for lifelong learning. One of the things I love most about my role is what I learn from children every day - their curiosity, honesty and resilience remind me to slow down and see the world through their eyes. Outside of work, I’m a proud father and family man with four beautiful children. How do I enrol my child at a Busy Bees Centre?

The first step is to tour your preferred Busy Bees childcare centre. This gives you an opportunity to meet our educators, explore our nurturing environment and understand how we can provide an experience that is best suited to your child. After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.

Do you offer casual or part-time care?

What is included in my child’s care?

We provide what is known as ‘All inclusive care’. This means not only do we educate your child in a nurturing environment, our childcare centres provide meals and beverages, sunscreen, hats, nappy creams and kids Aeroguard for your child. All you need to provide is a spare change of clothes and any specialised products your child requires: medications, milk or formula.

How do you keep parents updated on their child’s progress?

How do you handle parent concerns or feedback?

You and your child’s experience are our main priority. We encourage open communication and are always happy to discuss any concerns or suggestions directly or anonymously using our Parent feedback form. The Service Manager at each of our childcare centres is the person you can liaise with in the first instance.

What medical emergency and security measures do you have in place?

We follow strict emergency protocols and will immediately notify you if your child requires medical attention while contacting a doctor/hospital if required.

We have a First Aid Officer on hand every day at every childcare centre who is first aid and CPR certified, and we conduct regular safety training.

Each of our childcare centres has secure entry and exit systems, child-safe facilities, strict security policies and procedures, and trained staff to ensure your child’s safety at all times.
