Our Commitment to Quality Early Learning

We follow the National Quality Framework and abide by National Law and Regulations. Our Services aim not just to meet, but exceed the National Quality standards in all areas of Early Childhood Education and Care. We have developed a unique learning curriculum that explicitly focuses on developing the well-being of each child. Informed by statutory frameworks and guided by our extensive knowledge of how children learn, personal and social development is at the core of our curriculum.

Live from the Hive...

We asked our children some important questions…like what makes you happy? Are there any secrets you want to share? It turns out, they had a lot to say!

At Busy Bees, our children’s voices are not only heard but nurtured and supported. Our child-led learning programs are designed to build resilience, vital social skills and independence, preparing children with all the essentials they need to take their next big steps in school and life.

There’s something special about a Busy Bees child…

Our children are intrepid explorers making new discoveries every day. With a play-based learning approach, we nuture their naturally adventurous spirit and inquisitive minds, encouraging collaboration and social development at every turn. It’s our mission to develop curious, confident and capable children with all the tools they need to take their next big steps in school and life. Whether your child is a Discoverer, Explorer, Adventurer, Investigator, Collaborator or Researcher, our Educators listen to their voices to deliver child-led learning experiences based on their interests.

What Our Families Say...

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

At Busy Bees, we provide almost everything that your child may need throughout the day. Most of our Services provide meals and bedding, as well as a Busy Bees hat supplied upon enrolment.

For hygiene reasons, we ask that families supply a name-labelled water bottle, as well as a 1-2 spare changes of clothes as sometimes your child’s learning experiences may get messy! Comfort items, such as a favourite toy or blanket, are also allowed and encouraged to help your child feel comfortable and settled during rest times. Please make sure that any items your child brings to care are clearly labelled with their name.

Our experienced and nurturing Educators have a range of formal qualifications in early childhood education, including current First Aid and CPR training. Depending on their role, our Educators and Service Managers may be diploma or degree qualified to deliver high quality early learning experiences based on the Early Years Learning Framework. Our Kindergarten and School Readiness Programs are delivered by qualified Early Childhood Teachers who develop an educational program that is challenging, insightful, consultative, giving them a head start as they prepare for school.

Our people do an amazing job, but we know that they never stop learning. We are committed to the ongoing growth and development of our Educators and people through ongoing professional development opportunities.

The health, safety and wellbeing of children and staff are our top priority. In line with advice from Chief Health Officers and individual State and Territory Governments, Busy Bees has implemented increased safety measures at our Services for the protection of children and staff. On arrival, we ask that all staff members and visitors to the Service record their temperature using the provided contactless thermometers, and record your visit in the register provided. Any child, staff member or visitor who records a temperature of 38 degrees or higher will not be permitted at the Service. We have a range of other measures in place, such as social distancing reminders and regular sanitation of high touch areas. Enhanced measures will be enacted as required. Watch the video below on how we’re staying safe at Busy Bees.

Visit COVID SAFE for more information

To enrol your child in a Busy Bees Service, we require an immunisation history statement that shows your child’s vaccination status is up to date. We require this upon enrolment, as well as throughout your child’s time at Busy Bees.

Children who cannot be fully vaccinated due to a medical condition or who are on a recognised catch-up schedule will still be able to be enrolled upon presentation of the appropriate form signed by a medical practitioner.

Our sessions are designed to offer greater flexibility and affordability for families. We offer sessions of 9, 10 or 12 hours, with no set session times. This means we can work with you to determine which session time works best for your family, within the Service’s operating hours. Speak to your Service Manager to determine the best sessional care options for your family.

If your child is absent, you will need to notify your Service Manager. If your child is unable to attend due to a contagious illness, then you must also let your Service Manager know and discuss when your child will be able to return to the Service.

The KindyNow app is also available to provide families with an easy, stress-free way to notify your Service when your child is absent. The app is a free and simple way to notify absences from the convenience of your smartphone, any time you need.

We understand that at times, you may need an additional day or two of care. We use the KindyNow app to provide families with an easy way to book casual days, as well as notify your child’s absences, straight from your smartphone. With KindyNow, you can easily book a casual day of care any time you need. The app will show vacancies at your Service, so you can secure a spot from the convenience of your mobile, whenever you need it.

We believe that every child deserves the best start in life. We understand that each child is an individual with unique needs, and we work with families to provide the best possible care regardless of their individual situation. Your Service Manager will be able to meet with you to gain an understanding of your child’s needs and requirements, and develop a plan to ensure they are included and supported throughout their time at the Service.
