Busy Bees at Lane Cove is reopening in July 2025 with a complete transformation — and an experience that sets a new standard for early learning in the Lower North Shore.

Our beautifully refurbished centre features brand new playgrounds, fresh interiors, and thoughtfully designed learning spaces that nurture creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. Conveniently located on Burns Bay Road, just moments from the local shopping village, our centre blends care, community and quality like no other.

How do I enrol my child at a Busy Bees Centre?

The first step is to tour your preferred Busy Bees childcare centre. This gives you an opportunity to meet our educators, explore our nurturing environment and understand how we can provide an experience that is best suited to your child. After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.

Do you offer casual or part-time care?

What is included in my child’s care?

We provide what is known as ‘All inclusive care’. This means not only do we educate your child in a nurturing environment, our childcare centres provide meals and beverages, sunscreen, hats, nappy creams and kids Aeroguard for your child. All you need to provide is a spare change of clothes and any specialised products your child requires: medications, milk or formula.

How do you keep parents updated on their child’s progress?

How do you handle parent concerns or feedback?

What medical emergency and security measures do you have in place?

We follow strict emergency protocols and will immediately notify you if your child requires medical attention while contacting a doctor/hospital if required.

We have a First Aid Officer on hand every day at every childcare centre who is first aid and CPR certified, and we conduct regular safety training.

Each of our childcare centres has secure entry and exit systems, child-safe facilities, strict security policies and procedures, and trained staff to ensure your child’s safety at all times.

I've experienced a number of local daycares in recent years and have found Busy Bees at Lane Cove is by far the best! My 2 boys have been happy here for the last 18 months.

The educators are professional and genuinely caring. I have been impressed with their organisation and communication. We get sent a weekly program in advance outlining what they are going to learn about and the activities planned. Daily reports are sent with photos so you can see what your child has been doing all day.

The team has created a very positive learning and community culture. Family input and participation is encouraged. When I put an idea in the suggestions box they held a Science Week with a series of fun experiments — my son loved it! They create opportunities to come together and meet other families and celebrate events. They have recently set up a little library for the kids to "borrow" books for their classroom.
