Service Manager
Hello, my name is Meg Dingwall and I am the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Amaroo.
I’ve worked at Busy Bees for the last 4 years, in this time I have worked in many different capacities from casual educator, to room leader, preschool teacher, educational leader, 2IC and now Director. I have a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood and primary teaching and use my educational knowledge to drive every decision I make.
I like to lead by being passionate about a shared vision which is providing quality care for all children within our care. I show my commitment by always listening to my team and working together to find a solutions that works best for all people involved. I believe in a growth mindset and being a life long learner.
I believe in a Reggio Emilia approach where children are viewed as capable humans with rights and as Educators we must advocate for these rights. A large part of the early years curriculum I strongly follow is centred around respectful and reciprocal relationships where children feel safe, connected and have a sense of belonging in their class. I am also a strong advocate for learning through play where children are able to build their emerging autonomy and take risks to further their development. I believe in a collaborative approach where all theories, strategies and pedagogical knowledge is combined to find the best way to support the needs of each individual child.
I have lived in Canberra my whole life and went through schooling in the Gungahlin area, I love the community which has been created and value the people who have created a warm and inclusive culture. I am obsessed with my dog and enjoy taking him on play dates with my sisters, I enjoy team sports and going to the markets on the weekend.

My daughter would run up and hug her educators, I was chopped liver!
They are all incredible, loving, and caring, and your child will be loved and my daughter has learnt so much from them. We were blown away.
My son has loved everyone of the educators he has been with. He has learned so much and have made fabulous friends. Its a wonderful daycare and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Great support for parent's entering the sphere of childcare. The staff are amazing and the food prepared for the kids in A+. Highly recommended.
They welcome every child with a smile so that the mood of the kid becomes very good and they want to stay there.
Everyday my child learn new thing and he does the same thing at home, it’s very impressive. They give a good knowledge to kids. And this is the time kids grab everything so if they grab this type of knowledge I hope they can grow with a amazing talent. Thank you all.
I can drop him off in the morning and walk away knowing he will be loved and cared for there by the beautiful staff.
The hardest part of our move will definitely be saying goodbye to their friends and teachers who have provided such excellent care over our time here. You will all be dearly missed and thanks for the memories.
