Our Bentleigh East childcare is influenced by the Reggio Emilia learning approach, which views children as capable, active participants in their learning, who acquire knowledge and refine understandings through inquiry-based learning. We deliver a balance between child-led and intentional teaching experiences to provide nurturing and caring interactions, as well as build secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships. Our Bentleigh East kindergarten believes that each child’s voice should be heard and incorporated into their learning journey and that each child develops their own knowledge, beliefs, culture, values and learning style at their own pace.
We are proud to be a multicultural and inclusive day care where diversity is valued and the cultural practices of families are embedded into our programs. Our multicultural and bilingual Educators — Korean, Greek, Mandarin, and Hindi — love to share their languages and cultures with the children. We focus on teaching sustainability and respect for the environment through our vegetable and herb gardens, compost and recycling program within each room.
