Service Manager
Hello, my name is Hollie and I am the Service Manager at Busy Bees Bentleigh East.
I have been in the Early Childhood Education Industry for 11 years and have my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I have worked in varying roles, beginning my career as an Assistant Educator and progressing, developing experience as a Lead Educator, Kindergarten Teacher, Educational Leader and Assistant Manager.
I am extremely passionate about providing children with high quality education and care. I believe that children are capable and central to their own learning and I am inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. I strongly believe that every child has the right to a safe and supportive environment, with Educators who are passionate and excited about guiding them through their learning journey.
In my spare time, I have three young children to keep busy. We love to go on family outings and love a good movie night at home together. We also have many animals to love and spend time with, including two dogs, two ferrets, a bunny and a cat.
I look forward to welcoming you to our Service.
The rooms are nice and big with lots of different activity areas for the kids to explore. The staff are always friendly and happy to help answer any questions.
The most important factor for us is really around potty training, as we’ve started the process of potty training our toddler at home, so we’re looking for a place that will continue to support him through that process. The centre has both child size toilets (that are easily accessible), potties (in three colours) and child size sinks that are easily accessible — sounds like a simple criteria but you’d be surprised. Most of all, the carers are friendly and supportive of the children’s development. The kids in the room are curious, chatty and happy — it is a reflection of the amazing effort that the team has put into introducing a routine, challenging and interesting activities to keep them engaged, and feeding them well! Keep up the good work.
She is ensuring all children are provided with a safe and nurturing environment in which educators stimulate enquiry, invite discussions, engage the senses and offer choices for children to learn, discover and grow.
Everyone is so nice, caring and friendly. Great atmosphere, always warm and clean, they provide healthy and nutritious food. They have great outdoor spaces, an art room, yoga fun, a lot of activities and excursions (e.g. park visits, and lunch at the local café). They care about the children and that makes it easier for us parents. Can highly recommend to everybody.
Plus they have started a new project where the kids share their learnings with their extended family and friends overseas.
My daughter constantly brags on about some activity they did. The place is clean and when we come to pick her up at the end of the day, the carers always know what she ate, how she slept, how she participated and who she played with.
