Assistant Service Manager
Hello, my name is Dominique Thompson and I am the Service Manager of Busy Bees at Cameron Grove. Busy Bees at Cameron Grove is a 94 place Long Day Care service located in the Newcastle Region, NSW, catering for children aged between 6 weeks – 6 years of age. I am proud to say I have been a part of this incredible service since coming on just prior to the service opening in November 2019 and have been a part of the Busy Bees Australia family for 4 years.
Since the completion of a Certificate III at the age of 16 years, I knew that Early Childhood would be a lifelong career and passion of mine. I then continued my studies into a Diploma and gained experienced in various roles including Room Leader, Educational Leader, Assistant Service Manager and then eventuating into a Service Manager role. With now almost 10 years’ experience in Early Childhood, I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else.
My three favourite things about Busy Bees at Cameron Grove is our spacious and natural outdoor environment, our dedicated and passionate educators, and our high-quality menu created by our service chef who produces the tasty and nutritious meals for our service.
As the Service Manager, I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment for all of our Families. I welcome all Families to visit our Service to see first-hand the high-quality education and care we offer at Busy Bees at Cameron Grove.
Assistant Service Manager
Hello, my name is Jake Simpson and I am the Assistant Service Manager of Busy Bees at Cameron Grove.
I began my career in Early Childhood in 2012 as a Trainee Educator. As the years followed, I developed a passion for growth and soon after completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. This gave me the platform to learn more about children, families and my workplaces around me.
I have worked in many roles within this industry such as Inclusion Support, Room Assistant, Room Leader, Assistant Service Manager and Service Manager at a range of different Services.
I joined the Busy Bees team in 2019 and I have been the Assistant Service Manager at Cameron Grove since it’s opening in November 2019. I thoroughly enjoy my role as I get to collaborate with many passionate Educators, families and children.
It's such a great day care that has lovely, friendly and professionally staff who have gone beyond to make the transition much easier for us. My daughter had several major troubles in settling in the new environment, but she's now been very happy and enjoying her days at the centre, and loves her educators and friends there. Thanks very much Busy Bee at Cameron Grove.
