Service Manager
Hi, my name is Kira Holt and I am the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Campbelltown.
My passion for early childhood stemmed from a very young age, being surrounded by younger nieces and nephews from the age of 1. I always knew I wanted to work with children, and help to create the best start in life for as many children as possible. This passion only strengthened once I began my career in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.
I joined the Early Childhood Education and Care sector in 2015 as a Certificate III trainee, before containing on to complete my Diploma qualification through traineeship too. I am currently working towards completing my Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) and am over half way through my studies.
During my time in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector, I have been fortunate enough to work closely with all ages from 0–12 in a variety of roles including trainee, assistant educator and lead educator/room leader. I have also worked in a variety of leadership roles within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector including educational leader and assistant centre leader.
When I’m not at work or studying for university, you’ll find me at the gym, working on my health and fitness journey, exploring the world and going on adventures with my partner, or playing with our 5 birds and 2 dogs.
Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Allison and I am the Assistant Service Manager, Admin and Educational Leader at Busy Bees at Campbelltown.
I have been in the Early Childhood Sector for over 20 years, beginning with studying a certificate 3 in Family Day Care, before moving on to complete my Diploma of Children’s Services via Tafe NSW & Australian Child Care Career Options.
I have had a passion for childcare from a very young age, starting at high school when I studied a TVET course. My passion grew as I had my own son in my early 20’s, caring for him only grew my passion for wanting to help educate, and open little one’s minds as they grew.
At the age of two, I enrolled my son in this very centre, which also begun my first place of employment in the early childhood sector, starting a traineeship. Unfortunately, this didn’t work out as planned, but I didn’t give up. I followed my passion working in OOSH and Vacation Care for school aged children as I studied my Diploma, completing this in 2008.
In my years in the industry, I have worked as an Assistant Educator, Nursery Room Leader, and 2IC. I’m very passionate about working with children and enjoy watching them learn and grow through everyday play. Watching a child grow from a tiny baby who is dependent on the world around them to an independent learner making new discoveries in the world.
In my current role, I am really enjoying the administration and management side of the business whilst supporting and assisting Educators within all rooms to provide an educational program where children can become independent learners as they grow.
On the weekend you can find me spending time with my family, friends and my little puppy: Max. From adventurous drives exploring our beautiful state, cruising with my Husband, to hanging out at the beach, friends’ places for BBQ’s or at a local venue enjoying a great meal and some music.
They go above and beyond for the children and treat them all as their own. Starting at the centre was made so much easier with a smooth transition due to how the staff made us all feel and since then it has only grown. I could not recommend Busy Bees highly enough for the level of care, compassion, commitment and respect they bring to the area.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Busy Bees Early Learning acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea, sky and community.
