At Busy Bees at Carrum Downs, your child will benefit from:
Our Carrum Downs childcare follow a play-based learning approach where children are given uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention. Our environments reflect our belief that children are curious, confident and capable learners, by providing enquiry-rich spaces with opportunities for risky and challenging play supported by Educators. We aim to inspire and nurture children’s natural love of learning and to support their needs, interests and learning capabilities.
Our Carrum Downs childcare is a welcoming community with a family-oriented approach. We are an inclusive day care that values diversity of cultures, values, beliefs, abilities, interests and learning styles. We love to celebrate the special cultural events of our children to create a strong sense of belonging and identity. Our team of multicultural and bilingual Educators — Dari, Sinhala, Telugu, Bosnian, Croatian, German, Hindi, Gujarat, Punjabi, Tamil and Kanada — love to share their languages and cultures with the children.
Our Carrum Downs Kindergarten program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child set for their next big steps in school. Service Manager
Hello, my name is Di and I am the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Carrum Downs. I began my career in early childhood education at bit later in life after having my own children. I have held various roles including Lead Educator, Service Administrator and Service Manager.
As an Educator, I believe that children are capable learners and should be given every opportunity to develop their independence and self-help skills, setting them up for future success in life.
As a Service Manager, I am committed to working with the community, families, and Educators to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Outside of the Service, I am a proud mother of two teenage boys and an 8 year old girl. I am a creative person and enjoy anything crafty, including 3D printing, laser cutting and vinyl cutting which give me a lot of opportunities to make so many different items and gifts.
I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your family to Busy Bees at Carrum Downs.

As an Assistant Service Manager, I am committed to helping families and educators to bring out the best in their children and to support them in their daily needs.
In my spare time, I like to make craft items and spend time with my husband and two dogs.
