Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Katelyn, and I am your Service Manager at Busy Bees at Coorparoo. I have worked in the early education industry for a total of eight years. I also worked in a range of other industries in the middle of these eight years, however; found my way back to my passion of early education five years ago.
Outside of work I have two young daughters who take up a lot of my spare time, playing in parks, going on bush walks, or doing arts and crafts. As a family we love exploring Southeast Queensland on day trips and camping/4WDing along the beaches and bushes we have on offer.
I love being able to connect with new people and look forward to welcoming you to the Service and getting to know your family.
Assistant Service Manager
Hello, my name is Esther Withers and I am the Assistant Director at Busy Bees at Coorparoo. I have been working in childcare for the past 14 years. I love working with children and enjoy the early years’ industry. I have a Diploma in Children’s Studies and I’m studying my Bachelor of Primary Education and Certificate 3 in Education Support.
I enjoy guiding children through life’s adventures and being an early year’s Educator. Working with children is very rewarding and I enjoy working every day. I strive to do my best every day and help mold our young children to assist them with their future through school and adulthood
As an Educator, I seek to form close relationships with each child under my care, and their families. I strive to model respect, patience, and care for children and adults I come in contact with. I strive to provide an environment where children and families from different cultural backgrounds feel welcomed and accepted.
I believe that as an early childhood educator I am responsible for providing infants, toddlers and young children with positive learning experiences. Children have the right to have their needs met and receive the proper education while in the care of their caregivers. Children are motivated to learn when they have opportunities to make choices in an environment that is enriching and stimulating. Children are curious from infancy and have the desire to learn from their environment and those around them. In relation to caring for children, I aim to implement the Being Belonging and Becoming Early Years Learning Framework and create an environment that reflects on the children’s needs and interests.
In my spare time, I enjoy art with water paints being my favourite medium. I love live music events and travel. I also enjoy spending as much family time as I can and being with friends. I have a very cheeky puppy at home who is my life and I love to go on outings with her all the time.
