Busy Bees at Crace welcomes you with spacious light-filled rooms, an interactive open-plan kitchen and dining room, and dynamic playgrounds — with sandpits, a slide, rock climbing wall, and natural role-play areas — where children are encouraged to ignite their sense of curiosity and discovery.
At Busy Bees at Crace, your child will benefit from:
At our Crace childcare, we believe that learning should be fun and offer many opportunities for children to explore, create and learn in their own time. With our individual planned environments, the children have the added benefit of learning from other children, as well as Educators within their play spaces. We strive to make the children feel safe while in our care and achieve this with our homely environment and by taking the time to know each individual child. When Educators truly know a child, they can respond to all their needs with compassion, respect, and honour. Our Crace childcare provide a stimulating and relaxed environment where every child feels confident to play, learn and discover new things.
We are proud to be a culturally inclusive day care centre that frequently celebrates the cultural events, identities, and cuisines of our families. As a family grouped centre, we are passionate about creating strong bonds with all our families. We believe that we’re an extension of home and respect each family’s unique individual values and beliefs. We focus on teaching sustainability and respect for the environment through our worm farm and recycling programs. Our Bush Kinder Program allows children to explore and interact with nature while learning about our native Australian flora and fauna. The interactive open-plan kitchen provides daily opportunities for children to be involved in cooking experiences, as well as developing self-help skills such as serving themselves and cleaning their dishes in a social dining environment. The children can interact and assist with feeding and cleaning for our two Eastern long-necked turtles, Squish and Boris. Our partnership with the ACT Library brings the library to us with monthly deliveries of books to engage and inspire children as they build their literacy and comprehension skills.
Our Transition to School program is led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child set for their next big steps in school. We work in partnership with you to make their transition to school successful. Our quality learning programs are designed to build resilience, vital social skills and independence, while preparing children with all the essentials they need to take their next big steps in school and life.
We would love to have you join our Busy Bees family at Crace. We look forward to meeting your family! Book your tour today.
Service Manager
Hi, my name is Tim Cantrill and I’m the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Crace. I have worked in the Early Education and Care industry for over 15 years. I have gained vast experience in the industry as an Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Director, Director and Operations Manager. Now, I am excited to be stepping into the role of Service Manager at Busy Bees at Crace.
I believe the first five years of a child’s education are vitally important. When I became a father in 2015, I began to look at the role of the Educator in a new light and believe this has better equipped me to bring important insight to his role as Service Manager.
I am a big advocate for outdoor education, and believe that children can learn from all aspects of their environments and in everything that they do. I am also a strong believer that each child’s voice is important and that Educators can learn and listen to their needs to better address the issues which are relevant to their ongoing development.
I look forward to meeting you and your family.
Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Amber and I am the Assistant Service Manager of Busy Bees at Crace.
I have been in the Early Childhood sector for 10 years. I was previously a Centre Director in Sydney before going on maternity leave to welcome my daughter Florence to the world. We then moved to Canberra, where myself and my daughter Florence were excited to join Busy Bees at Crace in February 2023.
In my family time, I like to garden, explore nature, go camping and 4WD-ing.
The learning that has taken place has positively impacted on his daily life. Both me and my husband are very happy that effective learning has been taking place.
I have been noticing recently that after attending Busy Bees at Crace, he has achieved his milestones much earlier than his expected age would achieve.
He loves coming to the centre and fully enjoys being an explorer.
I feel so lucky to have found Busy Bees. I'm sure it will continue to give her an incredibly positive start to her education.
She has built good relationships with all her caring educators and peers. She made a lot of fun and exciting learning memories at Busy Bees at Crace and we are grateful for all of it. Thank you so much. My daughter and I will miss Crace.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Busy Bees Early Learning acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea, sky and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
