Service Manager

Hello, my name is Kate and I am the Service Manager for Busy Bees at Diggers Rest.

I have worked in the sector for the past 13 years. Over this time, I have enjoyed several roles including Educator, Mentor, Educational Leader, Assistant Manager and Centre Manager being my role over the last few years.

My passion is creating a warm and rich environment, as well as mentoring and empowering my team to deliver the best outcomes for our centre, families, our local community and most importantly our children.

I believe all children are unique and have the right to belong, learn, grow and develop into young children who feel safe and happy within their environment. I believe that children all learn at their own pace and that we offer experiences and activities that are inviting, engaging and allow space and opportunities for children to navigate, problem solve and build strong social and emotional connections.

I truly believe that being a part of children’s early learning years is a privilege and each day brings new adventures.

I have three sons: 23, 21 and 16. We are an active family with my boys all involved in our local football, golf, and basketball clubs. In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, sports, reading and the beach.

I look forward to meeting your family and welcoming you to our Busy Bees family at Diggers Rest.

Alice McGivney-Harper

Assistant Service Manager

Hello, my name is Alice McGivney-Harper and I am the 2IC at Busy Bees at Diggers Rest.

I started in the early child industry in 2018 and have worked my way through being an Assistant Educator, Lead Educator and now my current role as Assistant Director. I am currently studying my Bachelor of Early Childhood to expand my understanding and knowledge of children.

I believe children thrive in play-based learning environments where they are free to create, explore and gain a better understanding of the world around them. I am passionate about providing inclusive learning spaces and welcoming all diversities, cultures and religions, whilst meeting the individual needs of a child physically and emotionally.

I’m a very positive and bubbly person. I love to keep a cool, calm and collected environment for all educators and families.

I look forward to welcoming new families and educators to our Service here at Busy Bees at Diggers Rest.
