At Busy Bees at Georges Hall, our philosophy focuses on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We believe that children are capable and confident learners who can drive their own learning through questioning, exploring and interpreting the world around them. We offer children uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention.
Conveniently located on the grounds of St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School, our Georges Hall childcare has a strong family focus. We are known for our community outreach and have strong links with the local school, Miracle Babies, Ronald McDonald House and Little Wings. Our close-knit team of bilingual Educators — Croatian, Greek, Italian, Lebanese and Nepali — love to share their languages and cultures with the children. We focus on teaching sustainability and respect for the environment through our worm farm, vegetable garden and dedicated Sustainability Officer.
Our preschool in Georges Hall is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child set for their next big steps in school. Hi, my name is Adriana Grubisic and I am the Service Manager of Busy Bees at Georges Hall. I have been working at our day care in Georges Hall since April 2011. I hold a Bachelor of Education (birth – 5 years).
I believe that the equality of education a child receives in early life is indispensable in bringing out children’s potential and that all children should have access to quality learning and care. I believe each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating environment.
I come from a Croatian background, and I am the eldest of two children. I enjoy travelling, playing netball, and spending time with my husband and two young daughters.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Busy Bees Early Learning acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea, sky and community.
