Our Glenroy childcare strives to build trusting partnerships with families and provides a home-like environment that supports the individual needs, interests and voice of every child. We follow play-based and child-led learning approaches where children are given uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention. Our child-led learning programs nurture individuality, helping each child to move at their own pace, in their own way.
We are proud to include Auslan sign language in our everyday learning through play, music and stories. Our bilingual Educators — Italian, Turkish, Mandarin, Nepalese and Sinhala — love to share their languages and cultures with the children. The children are given the opportunity to extend their learning though the Music with Mary program on Mondays and Fridays, as well as the Happy Feet Fitness program that combines dance, music and the joy of active play (optional paid extra).
Our Glenroy Kindergarten program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child set for their next big steps in school. We work in partnership with you to make their transition to school successful. Hi, my name is Casey and I am the Service Manager of Busy Bees at Glenroy. I have been at our Glenroy day care centre for 12 years.
My aim is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment that is respectful and supportive to all children, families, and educators. I believe in creating a learning environment that is inclusive of children’s interests, developmental needs and voices, as well as family input, professional/specialist input, the National Quality Framework, and the National Early Years Learning. This allows children to explore a variety of opportunities to benefit their overall development and reach their full potential.
