Hi, I'm Joanne, Centre Director at Busy Bees at O'Connor. One of the things I love most about our centre is the genuine sense of home and belonging families feel from the moment they walk through our doors.

Operating across two welcoming houses, our centre offers a calm and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, secure and ready to learn. It's a unique setting that helps create a strong sense of connection for both children and families.

What makes our centre particularly special is our experienced team. Many of our educators have been part of the O'Connor community for well over a decade, building trusted relationships with generations of local families and creating a sense of continuity that families truly value.

Whether children are creating in our dedicated Kindergarten art studio, participating in community experiences or exploring new ideas through play, every day offers opportunities for learning, creativity and growth.

My daughter has been at Busy Bees at O'Connor for almost 18 months and LOVES it. She asks to go even on the weekend or days I am spending with her!

Hopefully that says more about the quality of care than my parenting. There is a wonderful team there with lots of very special Educators who genuinely care about the children and also set up lots of stimulating and engaging activities. The garden space has been recently rejuvenated and it's a lovely big space for the children to play with lots of shade for summer. The manager runs the service excellently. Also, the food must be good as my little one eats meals there that she wouldn't eat at home. I would highly recommend to parents looking for a day care in the area.

How do I enrol my child at a Busy Bees Centre?

The first step is to tour your preferred Busy Bees childcare centre. This gives you an opportunity to meet our educators, explore our nurturing environment and understand how we can provide an experience that is best suited to your child. After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.

Do you offer casual or part-time care?

What is included in my child’s care?

We provide what is known as ‘All inclusive care’. This means not only do we educate your child in a nurturing environment, our childcare centres provide meals and beverages, sunscreen, hats, nappy creams and kids Aeroguard for your child. All you need to provide is a spare change of clothes and any specialised products your child requires: medications, milk or formula.

How do you keep parents updated on their child’s progress?

How do you handle parent concerns or feedback?

You and your child’s experience are our main priority. We encourage open communication and are always happy to discuss any concerns or suggestions directly or anonymously using our Parent feedback form. The Service Manager at each of our childcare centres is the person you can liaise with in the first instance.

What medical emergency and security measures do you have in place?

We follow strict emergency protocols and will immediately notify you if your child requires medical attention while contacting a doctor/hospital if required.

We have a First Aid Officer on hand every day at every childcare centre who is first aid and CPR certified, and we conduct regular safety training.

Each of our childcare centres has secure entry and exit systems, child-safe facilities, strict security policies and procedures, and trained staff to ensure your child’s safety at all times.
