Our Oxley day care offers a calm and relaxed environment where children have uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom and our full attention. We provide an innovative approach which is based on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We follow this philosophy by nurturing every child’s individuality, ensuring that Busy Bees is a place where every child can thrive. Our program offers choice, as well as a balanced structure of indoor and outdoor learning experiences. Our Bush Kindy program is an amazing way for children to truly connect with nature and extend their learning experiences. The children can interact and care for the needs of our pet rabbits and guinea pigs throughout the day.
Situated on a quiet street next door to a beautiful nature reserve, our Oxley childcare offers a lovely and peaceful atmosphere where we focus on teaching sustainability and respect for the environment. We are passionate about creating bonds with all our families and believe that we’re an extension of home. Our extended hours give you the freedom to drop off and pick up when it works for you and our parent’s breakfast bar is available every morning.

Service Manager
Hi, my name is Ashley Hugill and I am the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Oxley.
I have been working in the early education sector since 2013. I started straight out of school inspired by my love for children. I have had the privilege to watch children grow and develop into intelligent, capable people. I hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and have three years of experience in the educational leadership space.
I am inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, utilising environments as the third teacher and using the voice of children to scaffold their learning. Learning through play is the foundation of our Service’s curriculum. Our educational pedagogies and practices incorporate critical reflections and the documentation of each child’s learning.
The first five years of a child’s life are so important. This is when children can develop their love of learning and social skills that will last them a lifetime. In a dedicated early education centre, children are provided countless opportunities to build relationships and learn to collaborate with their peers.
Relationships between families and educators are important, I aim to build strong partnerships with families to help each child reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting your family!
My two boys have come leaps and bounds since starting at Busy Bees in February this year, the centre feels like home and the communication between the centre and parents is astounding. Highly recommend. Thanks Busy Bees at Oxley for making the transition back to work easier for not just my boys but for myself. Keep up the great work.
Our little one is well looked after, is happy, content and learning new things every single day and he loves his time with his educators! I cannot recommend this centre enough. A big thank you to the whole team for making our transition to Busy Bees so easy. After a less than positive experience at another day care centre, the manager at Busy Bees addressed all of our concerns and questions about the transfer and made us feel instantly at ease during our tour.
There's been challenging times right after coming out of COVID due to staff shortages but the staff at the centre still did their best to make sure the children had an amazing day. Since the new manager started, the centre has improved even more and I feel comfortable leaving my toddler in their care for the day. She absolutely loves going and seeing all her friends and educators as well!
In the spirit of reconciliation, Busy Bees Early Learning acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea, sky and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
