We believe that quality early learning does more than just prepare children for school — it builds resilience, vital social skills and independence. That’s why we have developed a learning program with the perfect balance of education and play that encourages children to learn, have fun, and build confidence as they try new things and make amazing new discoveries.
We provide an innovative approach which is based on the discovery and exploration of respectful relationships with children. We offer children uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention.
We follow this philosophy by nurturing every child’s individuality, ensuring that Busy Bees is a place where every child can thrive.

Service Manager
Hi, my name is Ashley Hugill and I am the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Oxley.
I have been working in the early education sector since 2013. I started straight out of school inspired by my love for children. I have had the privilege to watch children grow and develop into intelligent, capable people. I hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and have three years of experience in the educational leadership space.
I am inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, utilising environments as the third teacher and using the voice of children to scaffold their learning. Learning through play is the foundation of our Service’s curriculum. Our educational pedagogies and practices incorporate critical reflections and the documentation of each child’s learning.
The first five years of a child’s life are so important. This is when children can develop their love of learning and social skills that will last them a lifetime. In a dedicated early education centre, children are provided countless opportunities to build relationships and learn to collaborate with their peers.
Relationships between families and educators are important, I aim to build strong partnerships with families to help each child reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting your family!
In the spirit of reconciliation, Busy Bees Early Learning acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea, sky and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
