Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Ashley Hugill and I am the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Oxley.
I have been working in the early education sector since 2013. I started straight out of school inspired by my love for children. I have had the privilege to watch children grow and develop into intelligent, capable people. I hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and have three years of experience in the educational leadership space.
I am inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, utilising environments as the third teacher and using the voice of children to scaffold their learning. Learning through play is the foundation of our Service’s curriculum. Our educational pedagogies and practices incorporate critical reflections and the documentation of each child’s learning.
The first five years of a child’s life are so important. This is when children can develop their love of learning and social skills that will last them a lifetime. In a dedicated early education centre, children are provided countless opportunities to build relationships and learn to collaborate with their peers.
Relationships between families and educators are important, I aim to build strong partnerships with families to help each child reach their full potential. I look forward to meeting your family!
Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Caitlin Campbell and I am the Assistant Service Manager for Busy Bees at Oxley.
I have been working in the Early Childhood sector for 8 years and have completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. My husband and I moved from South Africa, to Australia in 2014. I have always wanted to work in an industry that involves children and moving to Australia gave me that option. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in management which I completed in South Africa.
The early years of a child’s life are incredibly important, and this is what has driven my passion in the Early Childhood sector. I have loved being a part of children’s growth and development, and watching them meet their milestones while in my care.
Building relationships with children and families is so important. I feel that building these strong relationships will help children in settling into care and developing a strong sense of well-being.
I look forward to meeting you and your family!
My two boys have come leaps and bounds since starting at Busy Bees in February this year, the centre feels like home and the communication between the centre and parents is astounding. Highly recommend. Thanks Busy Bees at Oxley for making the transition back to work easier for not just my boys but for myself. Keep up the great work.
