Service Manager
Hi, my name is Laura Redding and I am the Service Manager at Busy Bees at Heritage Parc. As an Educator and a Manager who has been in the industry for over 10 years, I see early learning as crucially important to children’s overall development within the early years and aim to promote this within our Service.
Early childhood education is a crucial period in a child’s development, some children come into care and can be learning up to five days a week. With this in mind as an Educator I believe that it is therefore important to create a learning environment that acknowledges this and gives children the best start to life. For me, this means providing children with an environment that allows children to develop and grow in all areas. While also making sure that each child’s learning is catered to their strength and abilities. Children should be encouraged to learn and grow, but at their own pace.
Within early childhood, we talk about the circle of security and for me as an Educator, I couldn’t agree more. Providing children with a home-like environment, where children come and feel safe, secure and support.
As a Service Manager, I aim to encourage all staff to not only work as a team but to continually be the best that they can be. By encouraging them to continually update their knowledge and skills, being open to change and understanding that children and families are their first priority. I want staff to provide quality care and best practice.
My overall aim is to create a place where children and families love to come to and leaving looking forward to returning the next day.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Busy Bees Early Learning acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea, sky and community.
