At Busy Bees on Bletchley, your child will benefit from:
Our childcare in Southern River follows a play-based learning approach where children are given uninterrupted time for play, plenty of freedom, a calm and relaxed environment, cooperative relationships, and our full attention. We believe that play provides opportunities for children to extend their interests and actively engage in their learning through discovery, exploration, investigation and meaningful interactions with peers and educators.
Conveniently located next to Bletchley Park Primary School, our Southern River daycare is a welcoming, supportive and culturally inclusive environment that promotes a sense of belonging. We form strong collaborative partnerships with our families that sees them staying with us from nursery to Kindy. We encourage multi-aged play in our family room and art studio to support the bond between siblings. Children are given the opportunity to extend their learning through the Happy Feet Fitness program on Tuesdays that combines dance, music and the joy of active play (optional paid extra).
Our Transition to School program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child set for their next big steps in school. We work in partnership with you to make their transition to school successful. Our quality learning programs are designed to build resilience, vital social skills and independence, while preparing children with all the essentials they need to take their next big steps in school and life.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our Busy Bees family. We look forward to meeting your family! Book your tour today.
Service Manager
Hi, my name is Hayley Couch and I’ve been the Service Manager of Busy Bees on Bletchley for the past 7 years.
I have been in Early Childhood Education for 18 years — working in many different roles: Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Manager, Trainer and Assessor, and Service Manager.
I’m proud to lead a team of dedicated Educators, many of which have been working at Busy Bees on Bletchley for many years and have moved into leadership roles achieving amazing professional outcomes. I believe that our team makes our day care centre very special. The consistency of quality care is evident in our approach to building bright futures for the children during our everyday practices.
There is always something new to learn and reflect on when being present with children. Children teach us wonderful things and as they grow, we do too. I enjoy my time with the children and stepping away from the office tasks to be a part of the play and learning that happens each day. I still remember each child’s first day and feel a sense of achievement watching the children graduate with confidence.
In my spare time, I soak up moments with my family. We love to travel around Western Australia in our caravan and spend time by the coast — our happy place. We also enjoy going for scooter rides and coffee dates.
Assistant Service Manager
Hello, my name is Jemma and I am the Assistant Service Manager at Busy Bees on Bletchley.
I have a Diploma in Children’s Services and I have been in the Early Childhood and Care industry for over 10 years.
I enjoy working in the Early Childhood and Care sector and getting to see children everyday learning and growing first hand as they flourish, and also the children teaching and sharing their knowledge with me.
At Busy Bees on Bletchley we aim to provide a supportive, welcoming and inclusive environment that feels like a home away from home for our children and families.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and scooting around the river, or cooking and baking for my family and friends.
It's a relief knowing there's a place to love your child and care for them the way a parent would.
I literally cried on his last day here knowing that my son would be missing this place a lot. I wish them all the very best.
The centre has always had exception quality staff, who not only care and take their jobs seriously, but love the kids and genuinely take an interest in them.
The rooms are big and spacious, with dedicated play areas per age group. The play equipment is always good quality and replaced when it gets tired. The kitchen facilities and meals provided are better than I do at home. It's a large centre, but with personal touches and we love it. Enough corporate policy to feel safe and controlled, but still warm and relaxed in the right areas.
My daughter has excelled academically due to her structured learning program.
As a clingy child I know she can be a handful, but the teams persistence has made us feel confident in leaving her in their care. Thank you to all the staff.
All of the staff are amazing and I love that my daughter has healthy lunches and snacks to enjoy each day. The team really are wonderful.
The centre is very clean, provides different learning environments for children and has a great emphasis on nature and the outdoor environment, which our kids love. Thanks to all the staff at Bletchley.
Very impressed with the friendly staff who greet you and fuss your child on arrival and upon pick up greet you to advise how your child went through the day.
Photos are displayed with diary updates from the day so you can see your child having fun, keeping busy and interacting well with others. I have dropped in during nap time to be absolutely amazed at how the staff have the toddlers fast asleep napping.
Food is awesome as the chef is fantastic. I also love that some of the staff are the same from when my first child attended. Staff are well spoken, groomed, presented and just wonderful with the kids. It's a great centre with very good communication. Thanks Bletchley team, keep up the great work.
I love how the educators pay attention to details about our child, and love the real time update and feedback via the app. The Center Manager has been super helpful and accommodating. Our son looks forward to his days here and we’re very grateful to have found you!
