Busy Bees at Tamworth welcomes you with nurturing learning environments, a dedicated dining room, art workshop, and newly-renovated outdoor spaces tailored for each age group — with sandpits, slides, forts, balancing logs, water misters, a cubby house, rope traverse, a bush tucker garden, a yarning circle with log seats, and a sensory play area — where children are encouraged to ignite their sense of curiosity and discovery.
At Busy Bees at Tamworth, your child will benefit from:
Our Tamworth day care provides a child-led and play-based learning program that nurtures individuality, helping each child to move at their own pace, in their own way. Our philosophy focuses on the Reggio Emilia approach which values the learning environment as the ‘third teacher’ — encouraging children’s curiosity, creativity, and investigation. Our environments reflect the image of children as competent and capable learners who yearn to be challenged. We promote risk-taking opportunities to present children with unique learning experiences and skill building.
Our Tamworth daycare strongly believes in positive, holistic, and inclusive approaches that elevate our understanding and respect for diversity. Our bilingual Educators — Korean, Nepali, Hindi, and Māori — love to share their languages and cultures with the children. We focus on teaching sustainability and respect for the environment through our compost, worm farm, recycling program and gardens. As part of our gardening and sustainability teachings, we offer excursions to the local Bunnings which is conveniently located across the road.
Our Tamworth Preschool program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child set for their next big steps in school. We work in partnership with you and the local school to make their transition to school successful. Our quality learning programs are designed to build resilience, vital social skills and independence, while preparing children with all the essentials they need to take their next big steps in school and life.
We’d love for you to join our Busy Bees family at Tamworth. We look forward to meeting your family! Book your tour today.
Service Manager
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am the Service Manager of Busy Bees at Tamworth.
I have been in the profession since early 2013 and hold a university degree in Early Childhood and Education. I have been with the Centre since its opening in 2017. I truly value how important the early years are for development. I understand how vital strong connections and relationships are for positive outcomes for children. I believe every child should feel safe, secure and that they belong.
I strive to provide an exceeding Centre, that gives the children the education and care they deserved. I value the team of Educators we have at Busy Bees at Tamworth. I receive great gratification in supporting them with their dedication and passion for the children. We continually improve our skills and strive for knowledge that improves our practice.
I want to create a welcoming environment where children and families feel supported and valued. A space that makes their time at the Centre one they enjoy and are excited to return to.
I invite you to come and visit the Centre to experience what we have to offer.
Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Jade Walters. My role at Busy Bees at Tamworth is Assistant Service Manager and Educational Leader.
I have worked in Early Childhood Education and Care since 2004, and have worked in a management and leadership capacity since 2015. I have a Bachelor of Education and I am currently working towards my Masters degree with a specialisation in curriculum and practice.
I am passionate about the provision of meaningful and engaging educational programs and the way that children are captivated by the discovery of something new. I enjoy creating physical environments that are thoughtful and provoke the natural wonder and curiosity of children to promote learning. I am grateful to be in a position that allows me to inspire and collaborate with other professionals to achieve this within our Busy Bees community.
I believe respect for children and seeing them as capable, active participants in their day is vital to achieving positive outcomes. I am driven by child protection and the rights of the child when creating a nurturing environment where everyone can be who they are with the knowledge that they are included, safe and able to reach their full potential.
I look forward to seeing you at our Centre.
My son has attended the service since 2020 and the team make you feel welcomed and involved in every aspect of his day.
