At Busy Bees at Torquay, you’ll find a warm and nurturing early learning environment and inspiring learning opportunities for children aged six weeks to six years. Our purpose-built child care centre is filled with educational play spaces and educators who are dedicated to encouraging your children to grow.
Our Torquay early learning centre will support your child with:
Our funded Kindergarten program is led by a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to getting your child prepared for their next big steps in school. We work in partnership with you to make their transition to school successful. Our child-led curriculum is designed to build confident and active learners, using a holistic approach to education that combines school readiness with learning experiences that foster your child’s social and emotional development.
At our Torquay preschool and day care centre, children will develop their imagination and creativity, their knowledge, independent thinking skills and sense of wonder through exploring their own ideas and interests. They are supported in this pursuit by a team of warm, nurturing, professional educators. This learning is facilitated in an environment that is friendly, homely, secure and inviting, rich with experiences and adventures.
We believe that our programs foster children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for discovery and learning, and cultivate learning-to-learn habits. Early childhood is not a time to emphasize learning achievement and competitiveness among children; it is a time to foster positive values about learning and to build a strong developmental foundation for a healthy, happy life.

Service Manager
Hello, my name is Cherry and I am the Service Manager for Busy Bees at Torquay. I’ve been working in the Early Childhood industry for over 21 years.
I started my career as a room leader in the kindergarten room and have had the privilege of working across all age groups, as well as working for the Department of Education and Training with the Quality Assessment Regulation Division department. I have built my knowledge and have extensive experience across various job roles within the industry.
I believe in role modelling excellent leadership to bring out the best in our team, build their capability and offer ongoing support in making our centre a safe and engaging place for children, families, and the team.
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child is very important to me. I am committed to protecting and ensuring each child’s dignity and rights are always maintained.
In the spirit of reconciliation, Busy Bees Early Learning acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connections to land, sea, sky and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
